Live music club Penny Lane 24. 24 means Nijuyonken. It is also the headquarters of WESS, a concert event company in Sapporo.
Bread store HOKUO. Former Hokuo was founded in 1979 and later expanded into the Kanto and Kansai regions, but was restructured in 2015 when it went bankrupt and transferred its business to New Hokuo. But it closed all stores in 2022 after the Covid-19 disaster. The company reopened a new store in Kotoni Hondori Street through crowdfunding in response to the outcry of regret over the closure of the business.
Ruins of Kotoni Agricultural Soldiers Barrack. Kotoni was the first settlement of Agricultural Soldiers, which was established in 1874 and started the following year. 133rd Barrack, which was settled from Miyagi in 1875, is preserved.

After these independentists were purged one after another by the new government forces, Kuroda Kiyotaka (Satsuma), the vice minister of Hokkaido Development Agency and effectively the top official, institutionalized the system for guarding the northern country. Nominal minister of the agency was Higashikuze Michitomi.
