Made own SPAM musubis for breakfast and lunch.
The first step was to sauté the spam in soy sauce and red pepper to give it a savory grill. Then, place pieces of marinated kelp from Kanso, an old shop in Osaka, on top of the rice that has been rolled in plastic wrap and sprinkled with salt. The whole thing was made on plastic wrap and not touched by hand. This combination was easy and delicious.
Took a walk around the Hilton lagoon before noon.
The sun was still high at this time. The sunlight was getting stronger and stronger.
More and more people were relaxing at the lagoon beach.
Made sea urchin cream pasta for dinner. Used the sea urchin soy sauce from Sorachiya in Sapporo (Kitahiroshima).
The sea urchin soy sauce, with no added chemical seasonings, was full of kneaded sea urchin. The topping was a generous amount of fresh scallops purchased from Foodland.
Made by the recipe for cream pasta made exclusively for Sorachi-ya's sea urchin soy sauce. For the acidity, added tomato sauce.
Garlic shrimp pasta. The fresh lemon was the key to the flavor of the pasta.
Cauliflower and cherry tomato salad. The vegetables were fresh in Hawaii.
The wine paired it with was Lambrusco sparkling. A few more days of home cooking in Hawaii.
