It's been a week since started the short time stay in Sapporo. The days were warm with daytime temperatures in the double digits, but last night it turned to snow and the next morning was all winter. The beginning of a long, long winter in northern county.
Went to "Nemuro Hanamaru" for a late lunch. Hanamaru's favorite dishes: seared engawa, medium fatty tuna, monkfish liver, and scallops. The sake of choice was Kitanokatsu. The scallops were double-sized.
Then the favorite, crab salad, soy sauced salmon eggs, and seared toro salmon. The sushi and sake at this halfway point in the day were really enjoyable. Ordered the New Year's Osechi box and went home very satisfied.
In the evening, enjoyed a Primitivo (red) from Puglia, Italy, purchased at the previous wine tasting in Marunouchi, Tokyo. The winery was Podere 29.
In the evening, pork rillettes with truffle butter. From "Charcuterie Terre" in Maruyama.
The hamburger steak was purchased at the long-established butcher store "Meat Shop Miyazaki" on Higashitonden Dori and sauteed at home. It was sauteed in a savory ketchup sauce. Quite delicious.
Chicken Zangi was another delicacy from "Meat Shop Miyazaki". It was fried with the umami of chicken.
And pork fillet cutlets.
The usual Rhone's Guigal and cold December on the northern county that was proceeding.
