帰京。快晴の下、外苑の銀杏並木が黄葉真っ盛りで美しい。正面は絵画館、左側にはShake Shackの日本1号店。

Returned to Tokyo.  It was a beautiful sunny day, and the ginkgo trees on the Gaien street were in fully autumn color.  In front was Meiji Memorial Picture Gallery, and on the left was the first Shake Shack store in Japan.

自家製赤味噌仕込みのチャーシュー白髪葱添え。知人のレシピで何回も作っている美味しい前菜。

Homemade red miso-braised pork chashu with white onion.  A delicious appetizer that have made many times from a friend's recipe.

合わせるのは奈良の油長酒造の「風の森507」。奈良は日本酒発祥の地。山の中にある菩提山正歴寺(菩提山真言宗総本山)が室町時代に日本酒を作り始めたとされる。

Paired it with "Kaze no Mori 507" from Yucho Shuzo Brewry in Nara.  Nara was the birthplace of Japanese sake.  Bodai-san Shorekiji Temple (the head temple of Bodai-san Shingon Buddhism), located in the mountains, started making sake in the Muromachi period.

夕方の銀座を散歩。この時期の銀ぶらは、和光のライトアップがキラキラして年末気分が盛り上がる。

Took a stroll through Ginza in the evening.  The time of year for Ginza walk, and the twinkling lights of Wako added the year-end atmosphere.

帰りに銀座コリドー街の「梅丘 寿司の美登利」で鯖寿司をテイクアウト。コリドー街は正式名はコリドー通りらしい。

On the way home, took out some mackerel sushi at "Umegaoka Sushi no Midori" in Ginza Corridor Town. The official name of Corridor was Corridor Street.

秋田の山本酒造店の人気純米吟醸酒「山本ミッドナイトブルー」。エチケット買い。説明によると「ピュアブラックの弟分として彗星の如くデビュー。秋田県酒造好適米・酒こまち100%。酵母秋田県酵母「R-5」を使用。香り穏やかで柑橘系の酸とキレで人気のピュアブラックに対し、ミッドナイトブルーは上立つリッチな香りと余韻のある後味、穏やかな味わいが特徴的」とのこと。その通り、美味。

"Yamamoto Midnight Blue", a popular Junmai Ginjo sake from Akita's Yamamoto Sake Brewery.  Bought by the etiquette.  According to the description, it was made as the younger brother of Pure Black".  Made from 100% Sakekomachi, the best rice for sake brewing in Akita Prefecture.  The yeast used was the new Akita prefecture yeast, R-5.  While Pure Black was popular for its mild aroma, citrusy acidity and sharpness, Midnight Blue was characterized by its rich aroma, lingering aftertaste and gentle flavor.  Correct, it was delicious.
