Returned to Tokyo after the three weeks stay in Sapporo. A sunny autumn evening at the rooftop.
Beer and fried chicken. Yahoo Brewing's "Aooni (blue demon)" had a distinctive bitter taste. It was more suitable for the autumn season than the summer season.
Waited in the evening for the "almost total lunar eclipse". It was been 89 years since the last almost total lunar eclipse, and the next one would be in 65 years. It was a little cloudy, but could enjoy the celestial show.
For lunch the next day, went to "Maruei", a famous tonkatsu restaurant in Jiyugaoka. The pork loin was fried in lard by a frying pan.
The meat was sweet and juicy, and fried to a crisp. Delicious.
緑ヶ丘のスイーツショップ「ヌメロサンクパリ(Numéro 5 Paris)」へ。大好きなマフィンは無かったので、代わりに朝食用にスコーンを。
Stopped by "Numéro 5 Paris", a sweets shop in Midorigaoka. They didn't have the favorite muffin, so got scones for breakfast instead.
At a favorite liquor store nearby, bought a Shiboritate sake from "Ippongi Kubo-honten" in Fukui. It's a new sake brewed with "Koshi no Shizuku" (sake rice from Oku Echizen) instead of "Gohyakumangoku" used until last year. It was not Junmai or Ginjo, but was fresh and delicious. Sakes in season were delicious.
Primitivo by Mondo del Vino from Puglia, purchased at the wine tasting last month and received at home. This was a solid red with ripe red fruits, vanilla aromas, tannins and spice flavors.
Also from the same wine tasting, an organic wine by Crudo from Sicily, Italy. 75% Catarratto, 25% Gibibbo. It was a gorgeous white wine went well with seafood.
With the homemade beef stroganoff.
