In the evening, took a walk in the Susukino area. Met the bearded uncle of NIKKA for the first time in about a month.
Went to Tanukikoji Street. There were only few visitors.
Vidited SUAGE PLUS, a famous soup curry restaurant. It's located just off Tanukikoji Street.
The entrance was on the second floor.
Vegetables, oyster mushrooms, and chicken. All the ingredients were nice and fried, perfect for soup curry.
Vegetables and oysters. These were also creamy and delicious. Oyster mushrooms from Hokkaido were very thick and full of flavor.
On the way back, stopped by "Wine Shop Fujii".
When buying wine, tasted wines. Two Bordeaux Médocs and two Saint-Emilion.
The two Bordeaux Médocs were "CH Poujeaux" and "CH Potensac". CH Poujeaux was a leading producer in Moulis, a famous wine-growing region known for its excellent petit châteaux, and CH Potensac was an reasonable wine produced by the staff of Léoville Lascars, a second-grade wine producer. It was also the wine that always had at Chez Johnny.
The two Saint-Emilion wines were Valandraud's third, "Esprit de Valandraud", and second, "Virginie de Valandraud".
Valandraud, which also bought in Saint-Emilion when visited there on the trip the year before last, was a legendary Cinderella chateau promoted to First Special Class B in 2012. The silky and sensual taste was excellent.
Room service at the hotel and Arneis (white) bought at Fujii. Belcolle of Piedmont, Italy. Bought this wine as missing Italian wines since last week's wine tasting.
Also Nebbiolo (red). Nicolello of Piedmont, Italy.
