(Kyoto-75/Takohachi)日本美味しいもの巡り Japan delicious food and wine tour

帰京前夜、蛸薬師通「蛸八」を再訪し「土瓶蒸し」を楽しむ。季節ごとに少しずつ変わるメニューに「土びん」とある。

The night before returning to Tokyo, revited "Takohachi" on Takoyakushi Dori and enjoyed a "Dobinmushi", steaming cray pot.  The name "Dobin" was on the menu, which changes a little each season.

まずお通しの卵豆腐。出汁の香りが効いている。卵がしみじみ滋味深く。

The appetizer was egg tofu.  The soup stock was fragrant.  The eggs were delicious and aromatic.

生ずし(きずし)、いわゆる〆さば。生姜を入れた甘酢で頂く絶品。この甘酢は毎回飲み干すほどの大ファン。因みに、魚を酢締めしたものを関西圏で生ずしと呼ぶ。

Kizushi, vinegared mackerel.  It is a great dish served with sweet vinegar with ginger.  Such a big fan of this sweet vinegar that Everuy time drink it up.  Vinegared raw fishes are called Kizushi in the West area.

毎回の定番、小芋の唐揚げ。

Deep-fried small potatoes, ordered them every time.

今回初めてオーダーした「水菜とお揚げの炊いたん」。たっぷりの出汁の中に水菜がたくさん。野菜スープのようで身体が温まる。

This was the first time to have "boiled potherb mustard and deep-fried tofu".  A lot of potherb mustard in a rich broth.  It was like a vegetable soup and warmed up.

先日頼んだのは、かしわの焼き、今回は、かしわの揚げを。ニンニクの効いた中津の唐揚げや北海道のザンギとも違う、控えめな和風の美味しさ。蛸ハでしか味わえない味。そして焼きと揚げ、甲乙付け難い。

Last time, ordered grilled kashiwa (chicken) , and this time ordered fried kashiwa.  The fried kashiwa had a subtle Japanese flavor and was different from the garlicky fried chicken of Nakatsu or Zangi of Hokkaido.  It's a taste can get only at Takohachi.  Hard to tell which like better grilled or fried.

さて、今回の目的、土瓶蒸し!

鱧と松茸と出汁。秋の味覚がいっぱい、急いで食べ切るのがもったいなく、ゆっくり楽しむ。蛸ハで最終日を締め括ると、至福感に包まれ、全く思い残しなし。ご馳走さまでした。

Hamo (conger pike), matsutake mushrooms and dashi broth.  Full of autumn flavors, it was a shame to rush through them so enjoyed them slowly.  Ending the last day at Takohachi, felt blissful and had no regrets at all.  Thank you for the meal.

帰り道、良さそうなパン屋さんを発見。「むく」東洞院。京都にはパン屋がたくさんあるが、まだ好みの店を見つけていない。今度試してみよう。

On the way home, found a bakery that looked good. "Muku" on Higashinotoin.  There are many bakeries in Kyoto, but have yet to find one that like.  Will give it a try next time.

夜帰宅してから、出羽泉の吟醸純米酒、和し(なごし)と、祇園いづうのいなり寿司を。

When got home at night, had Dewaizumi Ginjo Junmai Sake, Nagoshi, and Inari Sushi from Gion Izuu.
