京都ちょい住み最終日、新幹線構内で「松葉」にて、京都人のソウルフード、にしん蕎麦を頂くことに。
On the last day in Kyoto, had nishin (simmered herring) soba noodles, the soul food in Kyoto, at "Matsuba" in the Shinkansen train station.
メニュー。暖かいお蕎麦の部。
Menu. Warm soba noodles.
冷たいお蕎麦の部。
Cold soba noodles.
丼ものの部。
Rice bowls.
にしん蕎麦は、今でこそ京都では一般的だが、祇園・南座の隣の松葉がその元祖。初めて食べる方は甘く炊いたニシンの大きさにびっくりする筈。何より、鰹の効いた深みのあるお出汁が上品で、心置きなく、心残りなきよう飲み干して完食。ご馳走さまでした。
Nishin soba noodles are now common in Kyoto, and Matsuba next to the Minamiza theatre was the originator of this soba. Surprised at how large the sweetly simmered herring was. Above all, the dashi soup stock made with bonito was very elegant so drank it all up without any regrets.
日本酒は、浅野日本酒店にて。
Bought sakes at Asano Sake Shop.
帰京して、夜に浅野日本酒店で購入した滋賀の「美冨久酒造」の三連星を。香りもキレもコクもある、三拍子揃った日本酒。
After returning to Tokyo, had Sanrensei from Shiga's Mifuku Shuzo Brewery, bought at the Asano Sake Shop in the evening. It was a sake with all three elements: aroma, sharpness, and richness.
翌日は晴天の中、夕方屋上でザンギとビール。百貨店の大北海道展で見つけた「小樽なると屋」のザンギ。1つ1つが大きい。
The next day, had zangi and beer on the rooftop in the evening under clear skies. Found this zangi from Otaru Narutoya at the Dai Hokkaido Exhibition fair in a department store, and each piece was huge.
未だ夏のような夕陽の中、ビールとザンギを持ってそのままジャクジーへ。
Went straight to the jacuzzi with beer and zangi in the summer-like evening sun.
ご近所の方から頂いたチーズケーキも。シフォンケーキのように柔らかく美味しい。
Also had some cheesecake from a neighbor. It was as soft and delicious as a chiffon cake.
