Back to Tokyo in summer. As the sun was setting, had fried chicken, carrot sticks, and beer on the rooftop. The carrots were dipped in a white miso-mayonnaise blended with a little yuzu pepper. It was tangy and tasty, and whetted appetite even in the heat.
Venus was shining brightly in the western sky on a summer evening. The hot days were still ahead.
The next day, had a late lunch of hamburgers in Marunouchi. Too late and the regular lunch menu was closed. As Tokyo was under a state of emergency, no beer was allowed, so had a non-alcoholic beer instead.
In the evening, went back to the rooftop for real beer and chips.
ロワールのAlban RoblinのSancerre Blanc とサラダも。酸味が穏やかでミネラリー。野菜多めの食事にもぴったりな万能の白。サンセールは白が有名だが、赤とロゼも生産しており、見つけたら飲んでみたい。
And Alban Roblin's Sancerre Blanc from Loire, and a salad. The acidity was mild and minerally. It was a versatile white that was perfect for a meal with a lot of vegetables. Sancerre is known for their white wines, but they also produce red and rosé wines, which would like to try if can find them.
翌日のディナーは、Ragù alla bologneseのパスタと舞茸のガーリックソテー。ラグーは和牛を使い、さらに健康のため野菜を沢山。ワインはローヌのJeanne Gaillard Viognier。
For dinner the next day, had sauteed oyster mushrooms with garlic and a pasta with Ragù alla bolognese. The ragù was made with Wagyu beef and lots of vegetables to keep it healthy. The wine was a Jeanne Gaillard Viognier from Rhone.
帰りに緑ヶ丘の「ヌメロサンクパリ(Numéro 5 Paris)」で買ってきたチェリー&フランボアーズのマフィンを。本当に美味しい。
On the way home, bought some cherry & flambeauise muffins at "Numéro 5 Paris" in Midorigaoka. Very delicious.
そろそろ夕暮れ、今宵はドラマチックな素晴らしい夕焼け雲。It was almost dusk, and the clouds were glowing.
