Visited "Tenryuji Temple", a World Heritage Site in Saga. Tenryuji is the first of the five Rinzai sect temples in Kyoto. Although it is a Zen temple, it also has an elegant court culture, as it was once the Sento Palace of Emperor Gosaga and then the palace of Emperor Kameyama.
There are many things to see and do in Saga.
The entrance to Tenryuji Temple was decorated with azaleas.
"Sogenchi Garden", a highlight of Tenryuji Temple. The elegant dynastic culture and Zen culture are blended together, and never get tired of looking at it. The founder of the garden (the first head priest) was Muso Soseki, a Zen monk of the Rinzai sect of Buddhism who was said the first gardener in Japan. An airplane cloud was seen over the Sogenike Garden in the direction of Arashiyama. It seemed on the route to Osaka Itami Airport from the north.
At this season of year, the wisteria in the Hyakkaen garden at the back of the garden was also beautiful.
Tenryuji Temple was featured in a campaign by JR Tokai.
It's Dragon and Clouds painting was displayed at Kyoto City campaign.
After passing through the north gate of Tenryuji Temple, enjoyed a bamboo grove and path. Not many people here today.
Oigawa River seen from Togetsukyo Bridge. Upstream is Hozu River, at Arashiyama is the Oigawa River, and downstream is Katsura River then changes the names to Kamo River, Kizu River, Uji River, and Yodo River.
Hirosawa Pond spreads in the northern part of Saga.
Most of the major Kappo, Ryotei, and restaurants in Kyoto were closed due to the state of emergency, but "Tagoto" in Shinkyogoku was still open.
