Japan delicious food and wine tour

A beautiful and refreshing morning in Hamamatsu.  Took a walk through Hamamatsu Castle Park near the hotel and the main building and castle tower of the park.

Hamamatsu Castle was originally the residence of Ieyasu Tokugawa, who spent 17 years here.  Ieyasu ended the Warring States period, unified Japan, and laid the foundation for 280 years of stability and prosperity.  However, it is the irony of history that the Europeans, who have been engaged in tactics, war and technological innovation in the same time, have been overrun as a result.

The elegant Starbucks shop on the grounds of Hamamatsu Castle Park is a place of relaxation for the citizens.  People enjoyed and relaxed at the peaceful time in the Edo period for the 280 years, and were mis-lead by Europeans for 150 years after the opening of the country in the Meiji period, and finally Hamamatsu Castle's coffee room is operated by a foreign capital.  It's exaggerated, but it's also the fun of history.

When left Hamamatsu in the afternoon and proceeded along the old Tokaido roads, got lost in a splendid row of pine trees on the way.  It seems that Yaji-san and Kita-san were ridiculed by raccoon dogs at "Tokaido Chu Hizakurige (Yaji-Kita's Travel Story) " at "Goyu Pine Trees" in Toyokawa City.  In 1944, it was certified as a national natural monument by the efforts of the townspeople and was spared from logging.  The 271 pine tree-lined avenue is worth a visit.

For lunch, stopped by "Kanebun" in Shin-Anjo.  Didn't have a chance to stop for long time, but it's a famous eel restaurant that definitely wanted to visit.  Actually, this is the second visit.

Can feel the history on the cover of the quaint menu.

Kanebun's eel rice box is two-story.

Eel and rice.  Nagoya style eel cooking where the skin is grilled crisp and sweet and spicy over charcoal.  Believe that this cooking way of eels is more delicious than the soft Kanto style.

Sweet and spicy sauce is always available at all tables.  Of course for on-the-rice.  As the customer at the table next table said "children don't have to have eels as long as they have rice and eel sauce".  Agreed with a big smile.

This time, stopped by Hamamatsu for the first time and Anjo after a long time, was able to enjoy delicious foods unexpectedly.
