伊勢のリゾート「斎王の宮」へ。斎王とは、天皇に代わって伊勢神宮の天照大神に仕えるために選ばれた、未婚の皇族女性のこと。天武天皇が確立した制度で、660年間続き60名以上の斎王が存在したとのこと。今も地名や駅名で残る「斎宮」は斎王の住居。「斎王の宮」はかつてのこうした王朝文化を再現した森の中のリゾート。
To "Saiou no Miya" in Ise. Saiou is an unmarried royal woman who was chosen to serve the Amaterasu Omikami god of Ise Shrine on behalf of the Emperor. The Saiou system was established by Emperor Tenmu, and more than 60 ladies were said serving as Saiou for past 660 years. "Saigu", which still retains its place name and station name, was the old residence of Saiou. "Saiou no Miya" of this time is the resort in the woods that reproduces the past dynasty culture of Saio.
露天温泉を楽しんだ後夕食へ。「斎王の膳」から伊勢海老コース。
After enjoying the open-air hot spring, went to the dinner. From "Saiou no Zen dinner", chose Ise (spiny) lobster course.
同じく松阪牛コース。
And Matsuzaka beef BBQ course as well.
先付けと前菜。

各種天ぷら。
Tempura of various sea foods and vegetables.
牛飯と、先程まで動いていた伊勢海老を赤出汁で。
Matsuzaka beef rice and Akadashi miso soup with the spiny lobster, which was moving when sashimi.
デザート。メロンと伊勢茶のババロア。
Dessert, melon fruit and bavaroa of Ise tea.
料理長からサンマ寿司のお土産。
Finally a gift from the restaurant chef after the dinner, saury sushi.
部屋に戻ってベランダのジャクジーでゆっくり。
Come back to the room and relax at Jacuzzi bath on the balcony.
翌朝は、主目的の伊勢神宮に。
