Went to Kyoto in the season that plum flowers are ending and the cherry blossoms begin to bloom. Enjoyed walking in "Kyouou Gokokuji (Toji temple "), the headquarter of Shingon Buddhism opened by Kobo Daishi (Kokai), and watching their Five-storied pagoda, a national treasure.
National treasure, Kondo, main building. Toji temple is very close to Kyoto Station but is quiet and has a magnificent atmosphere with no hustle and bustle.
Kyoto has extremely few tourists today due to the coronavirus, and the hotel lobby, which is usually crowded with many Chinese tourists, is now rattling. The first sight to see.
However, still many customers enjoyed drinking at the bar counter behind the liquor shop in the adjacent shopping mall. It's almost time to have dinner at a favorite Japanese restaurant, so be patient.lo
Tasted the local sake "Sanrensei" from Shiga Prefecture at a liquor shop. Junmai Genshu sake "Ginfubuki" was purchased as it was very tasty.
Went to Minokichi restaurant, Minokichi, next day.
Their lunch box is just the right size and tastes like traditional Kyoto cuisine.
Enjoyed them as desserts at home.
